Un estudio realizado por investigadores de la Old Dominion University (EEUU) y la Universidad Sapienza de Roma (Italia) han demostrado que la coadministración de Vitamina C y quercetina de la cebolla ejerce una acción sinérgica por sus propiedades antivirales e inmunomoduladoras, recomendando su uso tanto preventivo como en pacientes con COVID-19 como suplemento complementario a los tratamientos farmacológicos utilizados.
