La compleja fitoquímica del garlic (Allium sativum) se ha estudiado a menudo. Y las presentes investigaciones pueden proporcionar alguna orientación significativa para la prevención y el tratamiento del SARS-CoV-2.

In the present study it was studied the alliin, main sulfoxide of fresh garlic, as a molecule able to couple and inhibit the main coronavirus protease (Mpro). The results suggested that alliin may be a good candidate for the prevention and treatment of SARS-CoV-2.
